Being drafted

My grandchild at 9 was drafted as the first draft in the hockey team. What an accomplishment compared to Tom Brady's 6th round pick! His parents were required to sign an agreement of commitment. First, come the expensive gears and new uniform - the old ones can not be used. It is about $2,000 to start and may be $5,000 for traveling to other towns. What happens to the signing bonus?

There is a good chance that I will be the required sponsor. He has to paint my name on his face and yell "Pow, Pow, Pow" every time he scores. That's why poor folks cannot afford to play hockey.
