Verizon strike, tax return, stock bottoms...

Finally finished my tax returns. I advocate a flat tax rate with no deductions.

To reduce seasonal adjustments, I suggest to compare the growth rate from last month to same in prior year.

Where are the bottoms? A tale of two stocks: CHK and VRX.

Nothing new in VZ strikes? These workers have been over-paid ALREADY. They can sustain these wages due to many jobs cannot be outsourced (like climbing up the pole).

There are some strange job classifications over there. Sales persons in most divisions are making more than the average worker and usually these educated folks lead the strike. The secretaries (used to be a lot before office automation) are management employees, so they can work during the strike. Most unions are dying except the phone companies with jobs that cannot be outsourced.
