US and China are two countries of extremes to each other. It could be the difference in their cultures, their wealth, and/or changing of wealth. It would be best for both countries to move at least 10% away from their extremes.
Spending.
US. Like no tomorrow.
China. Saving for fear of begging in the street.
Health Care.
US. Encourages folks to be lazy, so they get free health care.
China. If you do not pay in yuan, you die.
Foreign countries.
US. Either my puppet or my enemy.
China. Non interference.
Environment.
US. Our pollution is not too high (translation: pollution per capita is).
China. My pollution per capita is not high (translation: total pollution is).
Human rights.
US. Killing for the name of liberty! or keeping our weapon suppliers rich.
China. Lifted 300 millions from poverty. Is this basic human right?
Military might.
US. New carrier with two nuclear generators.
China. 0 carrier.
Justice system.
US. Spent millions and let the guilty free.
China. One bullet for 99.99% guilty and warn millions.
Sports.
US. #1 in all sports. Get them at all costs.
China. Let's get 100 Walmart shoppers and have a race to see which nation is fitter.
Natural resources/farm land.
US. Can support double the current population.
China. Can support half the current population.
Politics.
US. Do everything for votes.
Capitalists act like communists by providing generous welfare.
China. If you do not listen, you disappear.
Communists act like capitalists by giving prime priority to business.
Education.
US. We've most Nobel's prize winners.
China. Our 6th graders can beat your college graduates in science and maths.
Model for youths.
US. If you give me one good model, I give you 10 bad models (like married politicians with outside affairs).
China. If you give me one bad model, I give you 10 good models.
Gun control.
US. Need guns for the wild, wild cities.
China. Thanks NRA for allowing us to sell them to your citizens.

Now we know the fact. How should we solve the problem. We have a lot of techonologies, we love to create, unwilling to work in the factories. Chinese can work in the factory 14 hours a day, not feeling tired. Our kids don't want to study science and math. Chinese are very good at it. So Obama will allow more fee paying Chinese to come over to learn science. Our kids keep on spending, sitting in Starbuck creating new product concept. Ship all our factories to China. Allow Taiwanese to teach poor Chinese how to produce. Send our Six Sigma Corp quality experts to teach China how to guarantee quality. Let Chinese invest their savings to fund the factory and allow them to save more money in the form of stocks and turn around allow them to continue to invest in the factory.
Our kids keep on spending, keep on dreaming. You don' t need money dreaming. Just give them enough money to buy coffee is easy. Make Chinese banks so big that they can finance all the advance factories and make Chinese productive and able to control the quality.

We continue to increase our health care expense from 16% of GDP to 32% of GDP. Train more doctors and pay them well. We can always ask China to produce our medicine and let Chinese use it without paying us loyalty. So Chinese can benefit a little bit. Not much Yuan they have to pay!
Sure our industries cannot afford the overhead. Don't worry, ship our factories to China, loan them US dollar to buy raw material to run the factories. We don more research and continue to ship our result to China. Chinese are not innovative, but we are. So we keep on innovate. China keep on produce.

With only some missiles and some submarine. No aircraft carrier. China can never be an aggressor. So we attack Iraq and we ask China to dig the oil. We buy the oil back with high price. Don't worry! We can continue to print money to buy the oil. Whatever we give it to China. China use it to do more business. We have more fat boys and China has more US$.

Our pollution per capita is low so we allow more illegal immigrant. Our population continue to grow from 300m to 1.3bn someday. And China per capita pollution is so high that their population continue to shrink until then reach 300m. But they produce product for us and heavily polluted their city. We are even.

We spend $700bn a year on weapon build up. Half of world total without counting Iraqi war expenditure. At peak we built >30,000 nuclear warhead. Getting whole Europe worry about us. We went into Iraqi war without UN approval and we, US citizen vote Bush again for 2nd term. With a nation like that, I don't know what we can proud of our democracy!
That is why Europe support China's rise. Because only China can counter balance us. China is too poor and have too little military technologies. But China is very smart. China can build a lot of vertical launching missiles. Enough hydrogen bomb. Enough submarines. (70, as estimated) Yes! China may not be good enough to build anti-missile. But anti-torpedo avoidance torpedo is not that difficult to build. Nothing can run that fast in the water. To be able to counter a torpedo with another torpedo is not that difficult to do. In short, protecting a submarine is much easier than protection an aircraft carrier. As long China don't care about invading any nation to own her natural resource. Primitive strike in order to deter primitive strike is not a problem for China. Why bother to build carrier. I hope China truly won't do that.

The fact is also true. Our B+H population will grow from 30% to majority.

US. Do everything for votes. As long as all big medias are under super rich's contro. The media can influence our thinking easily. That is call media freedom - for the rich, I guess. It is not that difficult for the rich to throw in billions to 'choose' the one that they prefer for us to 'choose' anyway. Do you recall how Obama being elected? Go back and check a little. See how media manipulate you to vote for Obama.
China. If you do not listen, you disappear. But it is much better than China - minority elected system at work! As long as they take care of you, you better listen.
