Love is blind

The dividend lovers say when their stocks drop by 50%, they are getting a 50% raise. There was a recent article on this STUPID logic - insulting my intelligence just reading the title. When the company is bankrupted, they are getting a 100% raise. Should they check in the closest clinic to get their brains examined?
