Uncle Deng

Deng was more worthy for a Nobel Peace prize than Obama for doing nothing (actually nothing is better than 'doing something wrong'). Lifting millions from poverty (i.e. starving) is no small deed. That committee must be blind, clowns and/or really stupid.

He had insights and many of his ideas still work today. To name a few:

* "One country with two systems" is the only way to govern HK and Macau (both prosper so far) and a way to lure Taiwan to the motherland.

* We have to let some folks to get rich. It is better than when every one is bankrupt. Eventually the poor will get better share and the corrupted will be punished.

* Getting rich is glorious. It is the basic encouragement to study hard, work hard, take chances... In the USA, we are not the same as our ancestors were. Every one including the new foreign immigrants tries to be a free loader.

* I don't care whether the cat is black and white (or yellow - not a racist remark) as long as it can catch the mouse. How true!

* When we open the window, we get fresh air along with flies (some Western cultures such as drugs are flies). Without opening the window, more Chinese may be starving even with clean air.

Human rights have its priority: Food, Shelter, Work, Freedom...
