Good deeds and bad deeds
To be fair, the USA has been doing good for many poor countries. Examples abound.
However,
it costs us a lot to be the world's policeman. Russians learned it
the hard way esp. in Afghan and we did not learn the same from them. It was one major reason of the breaking down of
the "Russian Empire" and the other reason was the temporary low prices
for the natural resources that Russia always depends on.
Some
wars are based on our ideals and the way we define 'freedom'. Would
Iraq or N. Vietnam threaten world peace? N. Vietnam for sure is not from
what we see today. If the soldiers of that country do not want to fight
for their freedom, why we send our children to die for their freedom?
If
we sent the sons of our leaders to the front line (not to the luxurious
hotels far away from the front line as seen on TV), we will not have
wars. I guarantee that 100%.
Ask any national guards
who were sent to the front line, and I bet most do not want to go. With
that fear, we must have reduced the number of national guards who have different duties and none is going to the front line.
Who
is on top is only the objective of our leaders. We just want to have
jobs, a good economy and a prosperous stock market. When we are richer, we
can help the poor more in this country and abroad.
