Huawei & the Chinese routers

Huawei's chief business is routers, not phones. There are several Chinese low-cost smart phones that are as good if not better than the low-end products of Samsung and possibly Apple. They will have a hard time to sell the phones here as all phone technologies were evolved from the first generation that Apple has a claim on. Google helps them out by providing the operating system.

Obviously, the original technology was copied from Cisco. They enhance it to make the routers and other products better. For example, they have 4G LTE while Cisco does not have it. The stealer is better than the stealee. Who is more guilty: the rapist or the naked lady jogging in the middle of the night in a high-crime area? Protect your intelligence properties!

We limit their routers for the reason of national security. That could not be right as about 20% of the traffic passing via their routers all ready. It costs us more to build the 4G LTE network from Ericson and ALU (Bell Lab and Lucent part of this French company).

The future belongs to Huawei as they have a huge local market plus the far less engineers' wages than our counterpart (check how the French engineers are compensated). It is a private company.
