EV

Cars and some farm products such as beef are not doing well by Chinese.

China needs charging stations more than us as most citizens live in apartments. China is still producing cheap cars with thin profit margins locally. Most citizens love foreign cars.

With Volvo China should master the engine and transmission.

Every car manufacturer is watching Tesla. It would save about 25% tariff from importing a fully assembled Tesla. However, they have to have a partner with Chinese who may learn their secrets.

If Tesla is successful, then BYD, the local EV, is failing to me.

EV has been approved by the government expecting to solve some environmental problems.

How many miles you have to drive to justify the extra cost and inconvenience of a EV? How many years an average battery last? Are there any new battery technology that would change the world? Many questions.
