Honeywell and GE are the tales of two different companies.
If you buy
stocks in both countries in 1970 (or 1980), you can see the huge
difference in profits. Honeywell did make some mistakes but far less
than GE. The major difference is GE invested into areas that they had no core expertise.
My friend's dividends (from stock bonuses) from Honeywell can
support his living expenses. As an employee, it is important to choose a
winner.
