Ask our politicians

Ask our politicians

Ask any politician the following questions. I bet they will avoid to answer and run as fast as if they have seen a ghost. I saw it actually happened to Nancy Pelosi on TV.

Human Rights.

Why we do not complain on the human rights violations of Saudi Arabia who has far more human rights violations than China?  BTW, 11 of the 15 911 terrorists are Saudi Arabian citizens.

Same as how we are treating native Indians.

Have you heard of the recent Australian war crime in Afghan? The media reported it very briefly. Another double standard?

Huawei

Is it national security or just stop China from passing us?

We have confirmed cases of our spying of our foreign leaders, but we have not found a single case of Huawei doing the same. I rest my case.

Hong Kong national security law

Most developed countries have similar laws including U.S.A. What do you think if China donated money and other aids to our protesters?

Is TikTok a threat to our national security?

What info TikTok has about us? Is Facebook more a threat than TikTok?

If you use TikTok, do you stupidly enter all your real personal data including your job as a U.S. politician?

Will there a fierce protest if TikTok is taken away from us?

For the same reason, should we ban the electric buses from China which are supposed to be the best, reasonably priced and proven?

On environment

We have shut our eyes on the possible dumping of radioactive water by Japan. That would change the genetics of fish and cause serious problems to the neighbors and eventually to the west coast of the U.S.

We accuse China on carbon-emission. We have higher pollution per capita than China even including those generated by factories manufacturing goods for export.

What would we do if Iran assassinates our Vice President or our top nuclear scientist?

Most likely the politician would say the following. There is no concern as they do not have nuclear weapons now. We will bomb their city and invade them like we did to Iraq.

Too much subsidies by the Chinese government and too relaxed in protecting intellectual properties.

We do the same in our research funds in universities and agriculture subsidies.

Most countries including Japan and South Korea were subsidized heavily by the government on their way from a developing country to a developed one.

U.S. did the same. Dickens was furious when he found out his work were routinely copied in the colonial days. We also copied and/or stole a lot of technologies from Europe in the WW2 era.

What would happen to Apple’s bottom line if China banned sales of Apple products similar to banning Huawei’s products in U.S.?

That politician hit the door right away. China let our 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G in, but we do not let China’s 5G in. ‘National security’ is not a U.S. monopoly.

Which is better: co-operate with China or destroy the world?

Should we let our nationalism and ego to stop us from following China in handling this pandemic?

Should we co-operate and share resources/researches to move carbon neutral 10 years earlier?
