Tough businesses

Retail and restaurants are easy to start (you and I can open a store). However, they are tough to make profits in the long run.

Even without Amazon, you cannot find too many surviving retailers from 10 years ago. I only got Macy (HD was not in my screen more than 5 years ago) and it is not doing well about 5 years ago when Amazon was not a big force.

I do not count too many successful restaurants and/or chains that are doing well for more than 5 years. The list includes Buffalo Wing.
