Today
(09/01/2019) another 15% tariff is added to many core Chinese goods. It would
affect the consumers.
Apple was asked to move their manufacturing outside China.
If it is moved to another low-wage country such as Vietnam, it would add to our
trade deficit; Vietnam is not going to buy our products as China is doing. After
years of supply chain implementation, Apple will be hard to do so besides the
availability of rare earth elements, the huge Chinese market and the help of
the Chinese engineers. Time to short Apple?
